1. I’m also interest in the EV/AP for Dankook this summer; if you don’t mind answering, how much did you pay for the programs?
I just took spending money I needed! My school is sister schools with Dankook so they took care of housing and fees. You do need to purchase your flight ticket, but you get reimbursed up to $1,200 when u complete EV :D if you have more questions don’t hesitate to ask~!
2. What’s the housing situation like for the summer program at Dankook? If my school is not a sister school, what would be the fees? Thanks!
If you are doing EV you will be placed in the dorms either in Cheonan or Jukjeon campuses. After that for AP you will be placed in the Jukjeon campus unless u are already there for EV :) ……. I am not really sure on your fees and how that process goes, but talk to your study abroad advisor or check out the Dankook website :) good luck !!
3. Is the Intensive Korean Language and Culture Program a continuation of the academic program? Sorry for the questions and thanks for replying!
I believe it is a completely different track from what AP/EV is but you can certainly take it and participate in it….. it would be a great way to learn Korean since being immersed within the culture you use it more often then anywhere else :D No problem glad I could help you as much as possible~!
OH HEY~!!!!! HI!!!! Como estas? Que chevere se que hay muchas fanaticas del kpop en Peru <3
Both my parents are half Peruvian….. my mom half Italian and my dad half Chinese :D i am a melting pot~!!!
Sorry….. i know it’s been awhile but everything has been so chaotic with Korea, my sister and even coming back home :(……… SO for the past 2 weeks i spent it with my sister going all over Seoul showing her some things I have already seen and discovering new things. Get ready to see all our crazy adventures~!!! ^^
The food is great :D i really love it……. minus the blood sausage I tried it but didn’t like it :P….. Yes I am eating a lot of Korean food because I mean what is the point of eating American if you are in a different country (even though i did have Burger King because i wanted to see if it tasted the same LOL) plus the occasional sandwich from the convenience store while i was at Dankook LOL….. but as you can see there is Western food here so if you do crave it you can probably find it. I am planning to comeback in the winter, but that is a maybe still because i need to figure out my schedule and stuff……… but I’d love to live here definitely I am actually looking for jobs right now in Korea :D Thankfully, a lot of the Koreans I have met are super nice……. before I came here i was scared due to the many different experiences I had read or heard about, but so far so good. Regardless of your ethnicity you will get stared at because honestly Korea is use to seeing only their people (most of the time) and when they see a foreigner they are curious. Some Koreans will be nice others not too nice, but most of the time they will just stare for a bit then go on with their lives….. I have gotten use to the looks :D
Hello thanks :D
Well difference as in culture wise definitely the respect people give to elders it’s huge here……but I mean if you have been a k-pop fan/drama lover you should already know that. The whole bromance thing is taken to a whole new level it’s insane but cute ^^….. Food wise everything is healthy (minus street food) hence the fact everything is sweet and lacks salt (I MISS SALT)….. Food is also very cheap here. There is a million coffee shops EVERYWHERE~!!! I mean i know Starbucks is huge in America but this takes it to a new level, I really love the atmosphere of the cafe’s here. A big difference it’s really safe here. People leave their purses and phones everywhere and no one will take them…… over in LA you’d be jacked!!! I feel very safe here :D
